Product Review: Oyin Handmade Hair Products

This week I received and used my trial size of Oyin Homemade Products. While I’m aware that they have an array of products for all my naturals, I’ve chosen to review several of their popular products below:

Silky Coils Thoughts….

It is recommended that all products be used 3-12 moths within purchasing; so as always use your best judgment when using over a period of time.  Also you will notice that these products range in cost starting at $6 (can’t beat that).  I used all of the above products in order as recommended by the website within 3 weeks of ordering. I wasn’t impressed with the honey wash and hemp conditioner. My coils felt a little thirsty after using. Again, I only used these products during this wash so I am not sure if Oyin plays well with others…but to be safe I did not substitute other hair care lines while doing this routine.

I chose to dilute the Greg Juice as my leave in spray and for my detangling session…it didn’t help. For my SC family who follows me on twitter, you may remember me saying that I had the WORSE detangling session ever this week. This was after using the wash, conditioner and Greg Juice. The whipped pudding and shine & define, however, came to my rescue. I decided to do a dry twist out set and it turned out heavenly!

picture is after sleeping on it

Overall, I give Oyin Handmade Products a B-. I suggest purchasing the trial size of the wash, conditioner and any of the juices and berry products. If anything, I would definitely recommend the Whipped Pudding and the Shine & Define for any and all naturals. My hair felt soft, smelled great and was VERY manageable. Also the ingredients for both are to die for; and you can rest assured that your hair is well protected with these two products.

Sometimes referred to as GSE, the Grapefruit Seed Extract, is a highly concentrated blend of the pink pulp, orange skin, and seeds of the grapefruit. Already known as a healthy fruit to eat or juice to drink, the extract form is a more efficient way to consume the valuable nutrients the grapefruit has to offer. You’ll notice that the Grapefruit Seed Extract offers an immense variety of benefits for the human body. *

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic
to be really something that I think I would
never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me.
I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
